Extra simple food prep tonite, GrammaBrowns beans with pieces of Smokehouse weenies cut up, a little less than nuke at full power but still too hot to eat right away. To TV, newsfeeds, store brand tea & slice of turtle pie later. Dunno why called "turtle" pie, just a chocolate with nut bits all over top.
Ed-simple mind, try to do things the same

LeBrea jalapeño cheddar sourdough with butter, garlic and jalapeño stuffed olives, very old Gouda cheese and a double Old Fashioned made with Early Times BiB Bourbon. Pipe to follow. Haven’t decided on what to smoke just yet.

Supper was Snow's New England Clam Chowder, a small lettuce and tomato salad with Bob" Big Boy Roquefort Dressing, and a weird pizza, frozen. One of these new non-gluten square pies. The thick crust tasted like a moderately good biscuit. Topped with something closer to Southern tomato gravy than Italian pizza sauce. The cheese unidentifiable. So, I added EVOO for dipping as the biscuit wanted something. I will buy it again and make my own additions. The crust was light as a feather. Needs to be relabeled as biscuit with tomato gravy and cheese. Snow's NE Chowder was a disappointment. Their Manhattan Chowder is excellent so I had high hopes. This was devoid of solids like a bowl of milk and stock. If there was ever a clam in there I never found it.

Two poached eggs atop nicely browned Nueske's CB Hash. Small portion. Toasted egg bagel from New York with butter and sour cherry jam from Austria. Kind of fancy but I do not eat this often.

A couple of homemade blueberry, banana, and nut muffins. Aren't those the best!?!? Thinking about making some soon. Satisfies the sweet tooth without too much sugar.

I enjoy both their black and the white puddings. Black is the stronger tasting, I say. Ditto on the pork and herb bangers. Their back bacon is also good as are the potato scones.

I looked at the site and a lot of it sounds really good, but other stuff I wouldn't eat on a bet. I'm going to look again and try to figure out what the total cost per meal would be. I am surprised by what my scotch ancestors ate. Don't know much about the Welsh, Choctaw and Cherokee diets. My Cherokee great great great grandma was member of the gatherer clan so I guess they ate whatever they could find. Half of what we eat is similar to what my French ancestors ate.

BBQ stuffed in a loaded Potatoe. I started to ask where you got that this time of night, but then I remembered where you live. Anything you want 24/7/365. The only thing I miss about Houston is the food.
