Beef filet Mignon Aubergine… (Filet with Sauced Zucchini) and celery with roasted Garlic Hummus. Pretty dark, but medium rare the way m’lady likes it. Valentines dinner delayed because of travel.

Glad you're able to eat such a variety of things so quickly after surgery, John. Kind of amazing to me. I was back on solid food 1 1/2 days following surgery. Intestines were not affected just the colon.

Two poached eggs atop CB Hash. Pot of tea. When I first saw this I thought Captain Black hash? Then CBD hash, somebody probably has done that. I finally realized what my first choice should have been. Getting old is hard.

Really great Chinese food in Flagstaff. Spring rolls, Lo Mein and beef/shrimp/ Chicken Kung Pao imgur.com/a/xpi5CudWe had several excellent meals in Flagstaff. One not so hot meal at a Mexican restaurant. The place we wanted to eat was a Mexican restaurant that seems like it was in a residential neighborhood. No place to park and dozens of cars and trucks driving around and hawking the parking spaces. The food must be out of this world.

I am a picky person about Mexican food, there are so many restaurants in the southwest and it is pretty disappointing if they do not make the mark. Consequently, I try to ferret out other types of restaurants when travelling, especially since I can create at home Mexican fare that is prohibitively expensive when it is on my dime. On the rare occasion I am in Flagstaff again, I need to check out a German restaurant...maybe even a British pub.

Good morning. Breakfast today was two eggs, a pork and leek Banger, and hash brown potatoes. Trip to Albuquerque to remove staples from abdomen and perhaps here results from the Pathologist. With the scars on my ab I can claim to have been shot three times and stabbed once. That ought to buy some cred in these parts.

A slice of pecan pineapple upside down cake from a neighbor's roadside stand. Coffee on the side. The new restaurant is trying to get open before the the April 26 wildflower festival. Main issue is finding people who are willing to work. Coke guy was there installing equipment this morning. The owner wanted to use the old name because of the reputation and good will, but the previous owners mom owns it and she's a piece of work. So he's calling it The Ironwood Grill, same as his very popular restaurant in Texarkana. The food will be different, but maybe it will pull more people into the town square.

EGO and Arrogance....I suppose she has a right to do so if it is codified in law regarding the name, but I think she is doing a disservice to the brand if the new owner sincerely wants to continue a great tradition. Glad that JD at the Country Squire was not faced with the same knuckleheadessness. I created a new word! None of you can use it though, I own it!
