The term "green meat" makes the meat sound even more delicious. Not. A term used for meat which as been in the case for a while. With beef, there is no problem. Ages well in the package. Prices today are beyond my means. So, the reduced price helps. The Albertson's that I frequent has regular great sales on beef, but the discount on the butcher's markdown because of age is rarely as low as it should be. I think they are happy to throw it out over moving it out.

The rest of the London Broil from yesterday with mushroom sauce, baked squash, a small yellow tater and zucchini. Half and apple for desert with Cotswald Cheddar and herbs. Feeling good.

The Phoenix Suns are regularly meet the mark of 3 pointers in a game. When that happens, a free Western Bacon Cheeseburger with the purchase of a large drink from Carl's Jr., and the Iced tea is quite good. A $3.50 meal.

I think they are happy to throw it out over moving it out. I envy your beer sales. Here, they never put beer on sale. Meat is relatively cheap on the other hand. A good ribeye is usually 6.99/pound for the good stuff. Porterhouse is 10.99/pound. And used meat is half that. We have a real butcher that will cut anything we want.

A ribeye here is about $12 to 14 per pound and Porterhouse north of $14 if you can find one. I saw one priced at $16 per pound. The London Broil I bought recently was on sale for $7.99 per pound.

Breakfast was my own Hash of Parish Rice, red lentils, diced scallions, tinned corned beef, crispy tofu. Egg fried in the center. Good it was, too.

It really is...we really like it. Less expensive cuts of meat, inexpensive and simple ingredients list. Always plenty of leftovers, and as often is the case, better the 2nd day when the flavors marry in. From the Green Chile Bible Santa Fe NM

Mexican Steak. That looks like the Carnes Guisada we used to eat every week at Dos Gallos in Humble. I miss it so much. Stew wrapped up in a tortilla is so good.
