Had some of the leftover Bolognese sauce with scratch-made pappardelle pasta. I made the pasta with coconut flour and egg yolks. And a little xanthan gum powder. The flavor was slightly egg-y, but not bad. The texture wasn't the same as traditional wheat pasta, which didn't come as a surprise. I'll make it again.

The Navy Beans with Andouille came out just fine. I had trouble getting the beans to soften in our hard water and then remembered to add 1/4 teaspoon of Baking Soda. That fixed the problem.

Your opinion on the pizza? I remember awhile back username down Tucson way mentioned a coupon deal, at the time I had not heard of them. Now they are here, and I get the coupons...I prefer thin crust.... their is one around the corner from my house. I like the pepperoni magnifico. Ordered that and wings, pretty good they do NY/thin crust right.

Have turkey hunters from Kentucky on the place. Good guys. They brought me a ton of stuff from their hometown, Bardstown. (Including a bottle of “1792.”) Among the loot were a coupla bags of huge venison burritos. Had one for supper. The best I have ever eaten. ¡Caramba y’all!

With added sauteed cabbage and my own mashed potatoes. When I was in foodservice they were what most breakfast diners used for hashbrowns. We buy the eight pack of cartons, when you add the hot water and let it sit for 10 minutes, one carton is enough fo 4 hearty servings… I usually shake out about 1/3 of a carton and make a smaller batch in the cup… Do not add salt, it is already there as a preservative. imgur.com/a/RKzBZed

Two thin slices of Spam Lite, two rashers of back bacon, two eggs, medium dice home fries.
Ordered Idahoan Dehydrated Hashbrowns. Looking forward to trying that. I might get out the Food Processor and make a batch fresh. Something about hash brown potatoes that is so good in the morning.

Texas has Shipley's donuts and San Marcos certainly has all kinds of Kolaches and he buys Krispy Kreme? Shaking my head.

Since the drought wife and I have not tried to eat crawfish, pond crawfish sometimes have a slight taste of mud, we used to buy Atachafylaya crawfish where running water is plentiful and the bugs don’t have a hint of mud. Leftover Etouffe was fed to the cats, they don’t give a damn about mud!
