Did some much needed trimming in the front yard and weed spraying the never ending task and i dont even have a lawn its just gravel but if i dont stay on top of it it becomes a forest of weeds. Going to tackle the back yard next saturday as I have plans tommmrow. just was glad i was able to knock out the front yard.

I smoked on the porch today, beautiful weather, Wife and Son walked to the back of the property, 1/2 mile to the back, looking at property line, found shell casein’s, had heard fireing figured a rabbit hunter was back there. Wife feed the boy, damn that kid can eat.

I was going to do the same, but we have a Cali-storm coming tonight, and the Roundup would wash away...but my Tuesday night is already planned.

Before the weather turned cool again this past week, the grass in my lawn was headed for its first mowing, but that chill stunted it. It'll bear letting go for a while, yet. Sunny and 76, here. A bit of a breeze, but not windy. I went for a longer ride on the bike. I usually ride down the road to a nearby park and circle the pond/lake, but it was covered up with Easter egg hunters, today. A single man by himself does not linger where there are children gathered, so I just rode through and on out a path on the other side into a residential neighborhood I hadn't explored before, so that was good.

Urb pick up the candy and slowly step away from the swing set and leave the area post haste.

Good idea, especially these days. I got half the yard mowed last weekend before the cutting deck belt came off and I haven't been able to get to it yet. Indoor emergencies and the wife's gardening. We had 8 inches of rain last week and the grass I mowed is now 8 inches high, and the part I didn't cut is a foot. It's winter rye, so if I can't cut it, I will have to wait for it to die.

Took a trip to GA today to celebrate my granddaughter’s birthday. She turned 8. Was a grueling drive since my back and legs have been acting up more recently.
But, all the pain was worth it! Her and her sister are just a treat to be around. As they get older they have more of their personalities emerging. Not the same story a couple of years ago!
Had a great visit then back to Alabama and spent another hour and half going over my Resurrection Sunday sermon. Should be a great time!

I taught Sunday School for some years, never delivered a sermon… not my calling. Quite a responsibility! Worthy of double honor. 1 Timothy 5:17

Happy Easter Everybody and have a blessed day. Thank you LOR! A wet Easter here in the southwest! It is suppose to rain all day here and into tomorrow, the first time that we have had rain on Easter in 25 years. The larger outdoor Easter services are still going on though…Sometimes the rain is such a novel thing, that people are happy to go out in it. The Snowbowl ski resort in Flagstaff and Sunrise ski resort in Whiteriver must be exceedingly happy.

A cool, overcast Easter here in Red Cloud country. That’s not unusual for this time of year when it’s trying to make up its mind what to do. The grass has slowed but its time is coming. All things in good time.

I decided to go ahead and cut the grass. I'm figuring to go visit the folks this coming weekend, and the grass doesn't need to go another 2 weeks.

Took the motor off my old Bell chisel chain grinder at the beginning of January and boss and I dropped it and another electric motor off for repair. He got his replacement motor way before mine got done. Mine needed the housing on both ends machined out for a bushing on each end because the bearing holes has some play in them. They said $500 I waited and impatiently waited finely Thursday I picked them up lady at front office could not find anything on my motor called back to the shop. Said drive around back guy in shop wants to talk. Oh shite here we go! Walked in the shop he handed me my motor it was all back together he said sorry it took so long no charge! Me very very happy. Took a different route home stopped and purchased a S&W 617 4 inch. Told the wife the next day and she was a little pissed at me.

she was not happy that you knew before she did ha ha. Oh, sure, make it my fault! lol Update on the folks since you all kindly sent good thoughts: Dad had a rough time of it for a few days but is feeling some better today, and Mom has somehow managed not to catch it. Dad didn't catch COVID from her when she had it a couple years ago, so I guess they have pretty different immune systems. Anyway, thanks for the well wishes.
