All, I just wanted to begin the year in a positive way. I should be working on my sermon for tomorrow, but, instead just taking the time to relax a little bit. Would like to see a football game but, since the networks have decided to make everything a charge, I'll try to listen on the radio later...
Have a Blessed Year All!

Any New Year’s Resolutions? I gave up on that stuff long ago. Useless and soon ignored. But I can see how others might be tempted. Some galoots here could use a little reformation.😋

Did some face time with wife and grand daughter Scarlet. Called a friend in Tulsa to catch up and give thanks for my Mecca coffee gifts. Mecca coffee in Tulsa since 1921 the girls are all nice and you can call and place your order. Your basic boring day in action personified.

Happy new year. I am a little overweight and unfit, so I'm going to TRY to get into shape this year. How long it lasts remains to be seen, but at least I have motivation for now.

Do you know how you intend to do it? I lost 3 stone last year with intermittent fasting, so I'll do that (I put on about 20lbs since last year). Also going to join a gym but with a rolling monthly contract, as I know I won't be committed for too long, but I'll do it as long as I have motivation.

Had a good conference this morning, a smaller turnout than normal, a lot of pastors still on holiday time . I’ve been taken under the wing of one of the older men in the group. Since I am in the market for a mentor it’s a win win. So it looks like I’ll be changing home church soon. Have three weeks off of school before going back.

The last few days have been rough…. Since I got the second bout of Covid (thank you Chi-com government… a month or so ago, been hacking up Phlegm every morning.
Turned into a sinus infection, the last two days have sucked on the road, will see my doctor tomorrow.
Still cannot believe that after a million Americans went to an early grave, no one in important places of society will tell China to go to hell, and stop all trade until they pay up.
But that would be in a sane world.

To keep things balanced, we need to remember the "Spanish" flu of 1918. Actually, the influenza that would claim approximately fifty million people worldwide, started in the United States and was spread to Europe by American troops being deployed to France. But I do not think there is any evidence that America was involved in gain of function research, and either accidentally or purposely unleashed it on society.
“ One of the first recorded cases was on March 11, 1918, at Fort Riley in Kansas. Overcrowding and unsanitary conditions created a fertile breeding ground for the virus.”
That is somewhat excusable, they just did not know about a lot of this stuff. 100 years later this is a different case.

Charlie, I know that you have problems with certain nationalities and groups. You should keep in mind the rules of this forum. "Absolutely positively NO politics or religion. This includes imagery, pictures, statements, etc. Sorry, but there are hundreds of forums on the web that offer this type of platform."

Was in Chicago all day yesterday for work.
This morning, I take a look at smokingpipes.com and see that my account has been lowered from silver level VIP, to bronze. Strange, I have spent over $700 at Smokingpipes in the past 8 weeks. Apparently they want me to spend thousands more per quarter to STAY a silver VIP member or higher. Pissed me off this morning a bit.

Well there’s no way this is correct in practice. I spent well over that last year, have spent over $10k lifetime, and I was silver but dropped to Bronze VIP after January 1st. While I suppose I will go back to silver in a month or two, it can’t be a lifetime thing if i dropped from silver. I also have all the gold badges for Tobacco Stockpiler, more than 10 years as a customer, for buying over 75 brands, etc. I just found it odd because I became silver VIP a few years ago and it never changed, until now.

My mistake. Apparently I’ve spent a little under the $10k with them since 2013, mentally I guess I’m including all told spent at P&C, TopHat, PipeNook, tobaccopipes, etc. Looks like I’ll for sure become lifetime at some point this year.
