Hey, Ron, what did you say to the sheriff's office to get them to actually go check on Bob? How did that conversation go? Once I got the right people, you know, after they got back from lunch, they were happy to check on him. Very nice sheriff lady that called me back and everything. I think it made her day. Bob constitutes a not insignificant part of their population.

I can't send a deputy to go check on somebody just because he didn't post on some internet forum. If you're not a relative..."

Watching the Yankees vs Twins game from Minneapolis. Top of the first and NY is already on the board with two runs. Edit: Now three runs.

"Hello, sheriff, this is Ron. I'm a pipe forum buddy of Bob's." Sheriff- "A pipe what?"

You’re good folk at the old Patch. Amazing and well done Ron, and thank goodness Plainsman is in good hands.

I said that his friends were worried about him and asked nicely for a wellness check. They were very nice about it.

Also, not having heard from Bob since he got to the ER, I hope all's well.

I am glad Ron made the call. I was away all day. I have asked for welfare check on another person in another forum. Similar situation. I tell the Sheriff's Dispatcher that I am a friend and check on this old so and so every day. I have not been able to reach him for a couple of days. He lives alone and seldom leaves home. When he does he tells me. Please make a welfare check. I do not mention forums or internet. What I say is mostly the truth perhaps in a different way.

Being an autistic, I'm sometimes more open and direct than is helpful. More information is always better, right? ![(:))](//storage.forums.net/6447321/images/ufOUjkWa5JBdkVJBGBLm.gif) Doesn't occur to me to hold things back till it's too late.

I’m back home, guys. After spending all afternoon and the early evening in the ER. Had a V fib episode, probably as a result of dehydration, and a bad bug that I caught. Been really bad under the weather since Sunday. Early in the afternoon woke up to find a sheriff deputy standing next to my bed. Two cars came as a result of Ron’s intervention. (Thanks Ron.) They called an ambulance and the EMT recommended that they take me to the emergency room. Something else I have to sort out. But thanks, guys.

Very happy you're home again, Bob. (I'm sure Eli is, too.) Dehydration is no joke. Gotta be careful with that one.
Hope you're past the bug, now, and will be on the mend the next few days. Again, I'm very glad you're still with us.

![oldcdgr](//storage.forums.net/6447321/images/juvLHSbPyjgJlrDFxGym.gif) Glad you’re doing ok John, getting ready for youngest son from Houston to drive us to Baton Rouge where my Grandaughter is graduating at LSU. REALLY DONT want to go but it would be ugly if I didn’t acknowledge her accomplishment. 4 people killed last night in Houston where he lives due to weather, million people without power, we had tornadoes around us for a couple days, crazy weather.

Straight line winds overnight in Houston sending main power transmission towers crashing to the ground then laying the power lines across HWY 290, just north of downtown a swath of damage uprooting large trees in a established neighborhood and taking out another slew of power lines. ETA for power to some parts of the city 3 days to 3 weeks 690k without power. My Bluetti set up means this does not affect me. Glad Bob is ok until he sees the ambulance bill. Went to wound care this morning and had a miniature break down after the rude as hell nurse hit my no B.S nerve. Everyone have a beautiful day in the neighborhood and remember smiles are free.

Wow, Lizard, that is some bad news for Houston area. I am sorry for those without power. Must be getting hot and humid down that way.
Beautiful calm day here. Sunny with not a cloud in the sky.
Medicare Part B should cover Bob's ambulance ride.

Regular power restored but the Bluetti did the job. Jill our friend will be by after work to grab the set up till her power gets restored.

Talked to my friend in Richmond, about 30 miles SE of Houston and he had almost nothing. A quarter inch of rain. I think the downtown skyscrapers, combined with all the concrete, create their own weather pattern like a small mountain range. The flooding there just keeps getting worse and worse. The further you are from Houston the better. I reccomend 250 miles.

Maybe she was just having a bad day, but some healthcare providers have no people skills and probably should be doing something else. Hang in there.

I finally got through to the Keith County sheriff and they are going to check on him. A great move on your part, Ron. You rock, brother! As for Bob… knock it off! No more of this nonsense. ![;)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I don't like her the wife does not like her this is third visit and we both like her even less each time. When she snapped at me for asking her to raise the exam chair to make it easier for me to get up I was ready to choke the miserable life out her now this was after I asked to lower the foot extension and listened to her contradict the doctors directions and lecture me about not using a mesh on the wound and telling me it is my responsibility to reorder wound supplies.

Thanks, guys. I feel so, so tired. Deep fatigue. Really dreaded a trip into Ogallala for meds. One of which is $600 for 30 days worth. Ouch! Gonna see if there is an alternative.
