This is Tom Bacon. Greatist French horn player. In Houston he played with the symphony, a few jazz bands and he had a group that played at Kenneally's Irish pub on South Shepherd. Real friendly guy too.

A great album, Boz really had a great run at that time. I was fortunate to have known, and hung out with Greg Kihn, one night he told me about Boz… “ The funny thing about him, his voice in normal conversation is like his singing voice” I instantly knew what he meant, but I can not describe it. |

One of the first albums my dad bought me was Boz Scaggs Silk Degrees because he did not look like a hippy. My father did not like my Kiss Destroyer album my junior high girl friend got me Christmas he said those guys look like freaks.

My father did not like my Kiss Destroyer album my junior high girl friend got me Christmas he said those guys look like freaks. Your dad was right. I went to a Halloween party in the late 80s in Kiss makeup. People were running off the road staring at me while driving over. I'll try to find the picture. |

Listening to my tinnitus. Yeah… it sucks. I developed it after an unknown someone sent off aerial fireworks that came down and exploded next to my ear… on par with an M1000… It burst an eardrum and did a number on the other. |

Having a listen to Chet Baker Sings & Plays. It's mono, but the sound is great and Baker is, well, Baker. Heckuva band around him, too.

I remember telling him about a singer he listened to was awful, a whiney guy with no man card in evidence..."When I grew up, men were men we had great music." About a week later he showed me this video.  |

Cut it about in half for a couple of days. |
