Some days ago turbocat and I exchanged P.M.s about Argosy Black Match, a clone of my first try at pipe tobacco. Ted decided to kindly send the mixture to me as it had no real spot in his rotation, and also, he said, he'd be sending some other goodies for me to try. The morning's trip to the mailbox has left me beside myself. The large and very generous box held... The Argosy Black 2 oz samples of Watch City 4Q, #7, and Eureaka Sutliff's RL-PR MacBaren Cube Super Value Black and Mild Holiday Blend a pouch of Half & Half and something from my bucket list, a sealed tin of Blood Red Moon. Well Ted, you really made my day today...thank you so very much, keep an eye on your mailbox!

Nice! What are you trying first, after the Argosy?

Nice! What are you trying first, after the Argosy? I still haven't made it to the Argosy; I did open it, and it smells like the blend of old, but my first sample was a cube cut burley from Sutliff called RL-PR....then a bowl of Super Value Black and Gold, for a new member, and now, with a glass of tea, I'll check out that Argosy.

"RL-PR" isn't exactly the most descriptive name ever, is it.

Years ago I got a sample pack of RL-BD from my tobacconist, and I really liked that one...only problem is, it came with a sample package of Voodoo Queen, and after a tried the Voodoo Queen, the RL-BD fell by the wayside.
