Do you have a favorite tobacco and pipe pairing combination?
For me, it's a certain Stanwell 32 with Captain Black original. They are good friends and work well together.

Before last night, I would've said no, but that Ashton bent brandy really smoked Carter Hall well.

Not really. Haunted Bookshop almost exclusively in cobs. A few pipes dedicated to latakia blends.

I will only smoke certain styles in a few of my pipes. I have English or Balkan only pipes. One pipe for Lakelands on rare occasions. VaPers, Burley and aromatics often in the same pipes.

Large bowl pipes for English and Balkan blends, that is about it for me.

One. Frog Morton Cellar in the 2016 PSF POY. Only tobacco ever smoked in this pipe. It tastes better in this pipe than it does in any other pipe.

Not really. Haunted Bookshop almost exclusively in cobs. A few pipes dedicated to latakia blends. I also have a couple pipes for GH/SG blends. And I don't smoke any of the saucy stuff.

I certainly have pipes that I prefer certain styles of tobacco and cut in, but no individual blend/pipe combination.

Once upon a time, in a world I can no longer get to from here, I mixed 200 grams of McCraines Tom's Private Reserve, with the same amount of Sutliff's Voodoo Queen. I had a small bent Dublin from Aldo Valine, that was as fond of that mixture as I was, and I made a promise to myself, that this combo would stand beside me as I made my way through life. I found one day, that I had outlasted my supply of this wonderful mixture, and when I checked, on how long it would take to get more Tom's Private Reserve, I found a vast and unmendable gap in the supply chain for such tobaccos. I packed packed up my A.V. Dublin and a few other pipes, and set out for great adventures, in a new and unknown world...shortly after that, I found myself in The Briar Patch, but I have yet to find such a Heavenly match as that T.P.R. and V.Q. with the little A.V. Dublin...
THE END

No, I smoke all of my tobaccos in all of my pipes. I’m with Russ on this one, although I do try to keep the Ennerdale and Grousemoor to just a couple dedicated pipes.

The very last of my Carter Hall, in a Stanwell Royal Guard, with the same in a Nording Signature for back-up. The final drops of this morning's coffee sits at my side.
