Same here. How can you see the blade ripping through oak and not be scared? They put all the safety devices on it, but I have to remove the guards for most of the stuff I cut. I think it's better to see the spinning destruction. Wood shop in the latter 70’s, smoke a doobie between classes, and go to wood shop… what could go wrong?😂 I never witnessed any serious injuries, saw the planer launch a few pieces of timber that got the attention of the shop teacher. He had a bottle ow whiskey in his side drawer to help with the stress. Don't you miss the days when everyone got a little slack? A shop teacher could have a bottle of whiskey as long as they weren't drunk.

I spent most of yesterday trying to reach my pharmacy in town, 45 miles away, the check if they filled the script for antibiotics to be taken today ahead of surgery. No answer. The Surgeon's office tried most of the day. No answer. Sent my Ex over to check and the pharmacy was closed owing to computer problems. That is expected. What is not forgivable is the lack of a message to their phone. That is Smith's Food and Drugs. I called the corporate customer number and gave them stern advice about responsibility. I was assured this would be escalated to a higher echelon which may or may not happen. Then, I had the Surgeon's office resend the script to Albertson's pharmacy. While it was received they would not release the meds to my Ex since the MD's office added the words "Not to be taken until Feb.8". The pharmacy computer system interpreted this to mean do not fill until Feb. 8. No amount of pleading worked. So, now I have to drive in this morning to fetch them. I had other plans for the day including bowel prep. May we survive the computer age. So true. I feel that this type of logic is also in use at government offices. It's amazing how difficult its become to overcome simple programming errors.

Just do x when the screen looks like y. If the screen ever looks like q, they turn into a cow at a new gate.
