Bics or an Old Boy here. I have a Zippo with a pipe insert, too. It's very good at scorching rims. I will only use it on a cob.

These are the ones I use most often, a Kiribi and a Clipper pipe lighter. I have others as well.

I use an Old Boy, though right at the moment I'm using a Peterson clone of an Old Boy, that looks remarkably like Turbo's Kiribi.

I also have an Old Boy. When I looked at them all side by side, it occurred to me that there may only be one actual lighter factory in Japan turning them all out.

The Petersons have a bigger tank, which is handy. I don't use mine that much, though, because the body is a bit too slick. My Old Boy has a lot of texture.

I’ve been collecting lighters for decades. I have a tote of petrol lighters of all kinds in the davecave. This collection of Dunhill, Dupont, Davidoff and IM Corona angle flame pipe lighters stay with me all year.

Whatever works at the moment my pipe needs lighting, usually a bic, or one of my temperamental fancy lighters when and if they’re functional..

I prefer the match if there is no wind. Maya matches from Mexico, cactus quill are my faves. You can drop the spent match in public and it does not litter.

Old boy or Bic. Usually the Bic because it has fuel.

99% my IM Corona Pipemaster. There must be a hundred old threads on this subject. I know I'm a grouchy old fart, but I get tired of answering the same questions over and over. Y'all carry on, but I will keep my own counsel on these types of questions in the future. I believe that having these threads are actually the lifeblood of these forums.

Most of the time, I use a Zippo with a pipe insert, although I occasionally use wooden matches if it is not too windy. I have a Kiribi, but haven't used it in a while.

No great mystery; I use wooden matches, or else a burning lens whenever it's sunny and I'm out of doors. This is nothing more than a magnifying glass.

The flame is large and, although it does a good job of lighting, also scorches the rims. I use the Diamond strike anywhere kitchen matches that produce a soft but effective flame.
