I really don't understand the question. My best made pipe isn't my best smoking pipe, and neither are the prettiest pipe.

Lots of pipes from various makers but none of them stand above my Cobs. They just always smoke perfectly. 👍

No best here, just the one I'm smoking at any one time, all smoke well if reasonably clean

Yesterday I smoked my Ron Powell Rhodesian, and mid way through the bowl I stopped and just looked at the pipe; it's wonderful just to gaze at. I rolled it around in my fingers for so long that I thought it was out, but when I went to lite it, it was still doing it's job...it's a favorite, and it gets better with each smoke, but it's not my only favorite.
