Went to the urgent care yesterday evening and found out that I put a pretty good scratch on my right eye. Got numbing drops. Then stopped and got some eye drops too late to stop by the pharmacy to pick up eye antibiotics.

Thank you, I am pretty lucky for my age first time going to the doctor for something like this and have spent most of my life in jobs or activities that these things happen.

I had eye damage myself once and I know how painful it can be. Take care of yourself and I hope that you recover quickly.

I hope you heal up quickly with no further issues going forward.
Years ago, a fellow employee struck a nail, no safety glasses and that did not end well when the head buried in an eyeball. I have heard carpenters say that it is more of an issue when nail production went offshore.

That happened in the morning at a friend's then we loaded up his mini excavator John Deere 35 and brought it to my place used it to work on storm damage to driveway from this winter. Then built a rolling water bar and clean out on neighbors because the water runs down their road and cut a nice trench in the road. Loaded up the mini excavator and returned it and got the John Deere with front bucket and box scraper with rippers. Did get my ditches cut in with the scraper and taking a break now going to rip the driveway next mine and the easement driveway that is shared but we all know who ends up with the expense and work. Thanks guys for your get wells and letting me ramble on. My eye feels pretty good just started my antibiotic eye drops no pain right now.

Same here, but after over 30 yrs in plant, safety glasses are a first thing on, doesn’t mean you won’t get hit, one time I was welding, took helmet off, Damn bee flew in my eye, jumped up, hit my head, bee still in my eye, rolled out from under the dozer, and off it flew, felt like it had walked all over my eye, friend handed me a cold beer doused the eye and then did a chugalug, 💩 happens!

I wear glasses every waking minute. Finely something slipped by my glasses or I should say my old pair I don't like very much and got my eye I went to the eye doctor and ordered new glasses over 3 weeks ago still waiting on my new ones.

I have been so lucky with power tools. It's only the past 5 years that I started wearing safety glasses. Luckily I was wearing my work RX OSHA glasses when my FIL turned on the breaker just as I cut the wire in the attic to install a ceiling fan in his house. There was a piece of molten metal from my Craftsman side cutters embedded in the glass right in front of my eyeball.

Pain is all gone. Not very much irritation left. Finished our driveway and returned the tractor. I called on my glasses and they had them. I received a text that they were in this afternoon.

That really is good news, funny how things go around, wife was trimming the front oak tree with her mini chain saw, ragging her about putting safety glasses on, she pretended to not hear me. Picking branches up to put on side of the road a small branch hit her in the eye. No damage, washed eye out and today all good. You got to protect those eyes.
