Popped a 2010 tin of Fribourg & Treyer Blackjack. Smoking it currently in this 1980’s Merkur 2000 volcano. “Ready-rubbed pure red Virginia flake, medium strength, classic.”Outside tin was gradually rusting. Inside, completely uncompromised. Tobacco still moist. Fruity red fermented VA nose. Very sweet and tangy, smooth and bready in the smoke. Classic and textbook aged red VA broken flake. Very soft and longer cut, so it packs very nicely.

Good Saturday Morning! I'm here, Urb, I'm here. I was awakened by Lily the Cat who was walking on me because she was hungry, but I was glad to get some extra sleep. Anyway, it's 52° here and raining right now, but it's mild enough to have one of the workshop doors open a bit. Not much on The List for today, so maybe I can get some postcard work done. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of fresh HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall smooth quarter-bent Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a great weekend everybody! Where's our new Irish friend, though? had a bit of a hectic morning guys,,, 😊

I made a potful of Pennsylvania goulash for dinner. My wife travels widely for her job, and I used the paprika she always brings back from Budapest. The old gals loved it.
For now, a gin and a bit of dark Birds Eye in the clay.
A pattern is forming.

A few of my wife’s friends came by tonight during the great east coast storm. They were talking about clove cigarettes and I broke out the Bosun’s Cut Plug.
I love challenging folks perceptions about pipe tobacco, so I stuffed a bit of Bosun’s into a small Dunhill Tanshell.
Anyone who has the opportunity to stuff a pipe in his mouth is a Prince indeed.
Until tomorrow friends.

I mixed up a bit of Silver’s Friars Bayou, for anticipation of a fond review. Silver, you’re an amazing chef, I’m enjoying this quite a bit. Thanks for the guidance.

To replace the Professor which I finished off, I have popped one of my two remaining tins of 2019 Smoker's Haven Cyrian Limited (tin 279 of 400). This was In-B-Tween Mixture but made with a mixture of Syrian and Cyprian Latakia. The blend's name is a play on their previous limited edition which was Syrian Limited. Enjoying a bowl in my Stanwell Flawless 54 Billiard.
