Cold, dreary, and now with something of a mini-gale blowing hard outside, 😯. I shall take shelter with some Dark Flake, in the Savinelli Roma 123 and let it pass.

Making up for missing my morning pipe today. Eight State Burley (2022) in a Savinelli billiard. Posing here with a beach found Buddha and some sea glass. Rain’s gone already and the sun is making its final encore. I’ll get around to dinner sooner or later.

After-dinner smoke time. Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob. Just in time to see the Mets walk off the Tigers. A good start to the season, at 5-1.

It is a “Riccio”, which apparently means sea-urchin. It is a natural pipe with the rustication being reminiscent of a sea urchin. It came quite clean and bright, but as it’s handled and smoked the unfinished briar has darkened quite a bit. A nice workhorse pipe, smokes well and has a solid feel in the hand.

MacBaren Acadian Perique from 2018.."Burley, Cavendish, Kentucky, Oriental/Turkish, Perique, Virginia" There is a lot going on with this blend, and it has done the melding dance well! Jiminks calls it a VaKyPer. In a PCoL POY, Poker.

Correction..."MacBaren Acadian Perique from 2018."
2015
MacBaren blends for whatever reason seem to soften with time more than any other blend that I know of. When fresh, the McBite name is appropriate for so many of their blends.

It's a cool grey afternoon here in the Irish North West, wind is picking up. About to have me some Erinmore Flake in the Turkish Meer, 😋 Jon, nice composition and selections!

It’s been a twelve hour workday, but for some reason I’m not feeling like settling down with a long smoke, so I’m smoking Kendal Dark in a TV churchwarden.

Inquiring minds...
