I received a vintage/antique pipe collection in the mail today. Mostly junk, but there were a few items I wanted in it. Something I didn’t even realize was included is the most bizarre pipe smoking accessory I have ever seen. It’s so weird, I had to create a post about it. It appears to be a bracket setup that hooks onto a pair of glasses and suspends a pipe in position in one’s mouth. This is how I got it with the pipe installed. I don’t even know what to think about it.

For . . . jewelers? Bookkeepers? Whoever it is, their glasses better fit really well.

Reminds me of that Steve Martin movie The Jerk. No doubt the manufacturer was sued for turning people cross eyed.

This is a pretty strange one TC! It would make more sense to go the harmonica neck brace route, better support and it would work for non eyeglass wearers. Still a problem in search of a Solution. T/C we want to see a video of you in action!

I got a pipe years ago that had several set screws for adjusting the draw. It came with an old drawing of the design and it looked like the maker was going to try to patent it. Never smoked it, though I did play with the screws a little to see what they did. A lot of work and inventiveness has been put into pipes over the years.
