Sir Walter is gonna be jealous. I know. He unsheathed his sword in my presence the other day. Mind you this is not a man you want to mess with. 😁 I had to give him one of my pipes to preserve my skin! I wouldn't worry, he's known for losing his head, but he's relatively harmless.

I'm glad Greeks like classic American muscle cars, but in America, that car is the epitome of poor taste. Fun though. 😁
The guy who has it keeps it for shows and to remember to the older men the Duke of Hazzard show (very popular here) plus to show the Confederation flag which is not banned here and no one can tell you anything if you have it in a patch, pin etc. _____________________
Hello from Athens-Greece, we have sun here with 91 'F. Black and Elegant Vanilla. My mother loved "the Duke boys", alas. 😁

Moved to the shade of the back deck, now that it's dry. Time for some Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum. 69, sunny and breezy. This again, while doing odds and ends in the yard.

Good Afternoon! It's another beautiful day here on the deck...74° with a mix of clouds, blue sky, and sunshine. I just finished cleaning a pipe while smoking a bowl of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the Stanwell Silver Mount blasted billiard with streaming smooth jazz and a glass of water on the side.

Wife and I got dinner prepped. Having some Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum before the actual cooking happens.

I’m still smoking my 90% PS81, 10% Perique blend. I’ve only got a couple of bowls left of it and I’ve already mixed a new batch with the Perique reduced to 6%. At 10% it was slightly overpowering the gentler Virginia flavors and that wasn’t my original goal.

On the back porch. Brown Clunee in a Parker lovat. It doesn’t matter how many years I’ve seen that blend written and I still can’t help but reading it as “Brown Cunny” 😃.

Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob. On the back porch, enjoying the glow of the Edison lights and the string lights wrapped around the trunks of the Magnolias. Festive without being Christmasy at all. Quiet evening here.

Festive without being Christmasy at all. Quiet evening here. Sounds nice. Do the lights attract bugs? The string lights don't seem to attract bugs. The overhead Edison lights attracted fishflies during the last hatch, primarily on the back wall of the house. Most of them leave to swarm around the street lights later at night. Not a very buggy night tonight. I ordered more Edison lights for the side patio where the fireplace thing is.

They don’t attract bugs like the light bulb in the fixture by the door does.

Good Morning! It's a cool 53° with a clear sky here at first light. I don't have anything planned for this afternoon so maybe I'll do some more work on my postcard blog. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's now 53° here with a clear sky and sunshine. Just lit up a bowl of FVF in the Savinelli smooth billiard and there's enough left for one more bowl in the day jar. The rest from the eight ounce box is jarred up and quietly aging away in the cellar. Time to sip some more coffee and check the headline news.

Happy Monday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's 52, cloudy with a breeze out of the north. It'll get up to 64 today, but, for now, the day has a very October feel to it. It'll be closer to 90 later in the week. Think I'll make a pot of chili for dinner.

They don’t attract bugs like the light bulb in the fixture by the door does. Those "Edison" led lights come in white or amber. I have used both. The white, (over 4000k),attract bugs, but fewer than incandescent bulbs. The amber leds attract almost zero bugs, less than yellow bug lights. In my experience. I actually tested this. Who does that? 🙃
