I’m sure some will say it’s just me, but when I smoked the last of my 2012 stock of University Flake and opened a tin from 2020, it was not the same blend. I’ve smoked it going back a long time and I can recognize age changes and that wasn’t it. I have no way of knowing when this would have happened since there was a big jump in the dates of my stock. Same thing with Irish Flake and 3 P’s to me.

Happy birthday, Goldbrick Herb! Continuing to send good thoughts your way, Plainsman Bob. I hope you've still got some recovery in you and will be back to Z92 before too long. I just finished a bowl of Deluxe Navy Rolls in the Ashton poker, which I thought I had posted but apparently did not. Now having some Hamborger Veermaster in the reg. era Stanwell 99:

Good Morning! It's a cool 64° with a mostly clear sky here at sunrise. Nothing much on The List for this afternoon. The first pipe of the day is a bowl of fresh HH Pure VA Flake in the Peterson Rosslare 106 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one everybody!

Thank you for letting me know of this gem of a television program. I really enjoyed episode 12 with burgess Meredith appearing as Cyrus. He did a wonderful job on that character.

Happy Monday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's 68 and sunny with a light breeze here. Good day for being outdoors. I'll be busy with the yard and garden today. Just not yet.

Good afternoon folks. I’m smoking the last bowl of Sun Bear in a Sasieni rusticated billiard. Heat backed off a bit and now it’s just normal hot. My sister in law and family are in town, so they’re stopping over to use the pool and calm down the kiddos. So this bowl will be the last bit of peace for the day . Honestly glad they enjoy it so much. Hope you all have a great day.

Blood Red Moon in a little Kaywoodie Standard apple...the pipe is one of a pair I picked up from my pal Ben; he got the apple and a Dublin in 1968, but smoking never took with him, so they hid in his desk drawer until 2001. Ben was overjoyed with his profit when he sold them to me at fifteen dollars for the pair...he paid $3.50 each at the drug store, in 68.

I agree with you. University flake has not been the same since they changed it quite a few years back. I do not smoke UF any longer. It's been a while, like 10 or 12 years I believe. I remember when it happened. I only have the new 3P. This occurrence had me change my habits a bit. Since I noticed this change, I no longer open the last tin of an older vintage without opening a newer one first to make sure things are the same. I felt rather bad that I hadn’t set aside some of my earlier tins before I realized what happened.
