I've been on a sabbatical of sorts from smoking. Tests, etc. All is well. I'll be glad to light a pipe tomorrow morning!

I’ve mostly been smoking my PS81 blend but I felt like a Burley break, so I’m smoking some 2011 Mac Baren London Burley Blend in a cob.

Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob on the front porch. 80 and humid. The weather apps say light rain is falling but it's dry here.

Having a late afternoon bowl of Inns of Court in a Dunhill billiard. Just got in from putting some new car mats in my wife’s car. All of 15 minutes in the heat and I am dripping wet. Might as well have jumped in the pool. Hmmm….

Had a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob while grilling chicken for tonight's dinner. Very light rain falling off and on. Rain will get stronger this evening. Currently 78 and humid.

Good Evening! It's 85°, humid, and with a mostly cloudy sky and sunshine out here on the deck. We'll get rain overnight and into tomorrow as the last of the hurricane moves through. Smoking some more Scottish Flake in the MM Washington 5th Avenue cob while listening to streaming light vocal jazz and there's a glass of cold water on the side.

Good evening yall. I'm smoking some Darwin Asa out of my bings favorite. Went to my local b&m called the Corona smoke shop that i frequent often and i see they Jacked the prices up on everything. Almost double on some things. They practically ignored me and there were guys with the most filthy mouths in there being aggressive and it was just a terrible experience. The owner wasn't there but her son was and Sadly I could smell alcohol on all of them. I don't think I will ever go back it was that bad.

Sounds like the son wants a clubhouse instead of a business.

Reading a blog reminded me that I really like Commodore Flake, but it’s been at least a couple of years since I smoked any, so I dug a tin out and I’m smoking it in a Mastro de Paja Rhodesian.

Sounds like the son wants a clubhouse instead of a business. That's what it felt like too. What sucks the most is I'm realizing it's rare to find passionate tobacco retail workers and some owners. Seems alot are only in it for the money an pipe smokers don't bring the money in like cigar smokers do in comparison. If I could get a job at a tobacco shop I'd work for minimum wage just to be apart of the atmosphere and learn more. I guess my pipe clubs tobacco shop Indian River Tobacco Traders will get all my business and whatever they don't have I suppose I will have to order online. Tristan the manager at that shop is a great guy and has treated me great from the first time I walked in there.

Probably no smoking for me till I get this dental issue addressed. Sounds like a good idea. I've had to have dental work done over the years to remove old root canal teeth removed because of cracking and splitting. One of my main clenching teeth was removed on the last go round and I have to be careful not to drop the pipe.

They had a pretty decent basic pipe section, but nothing I needed. There used to be a good guy named Ron who worked there a lot who knew both cigars and pipes. I've only ever seen cigar smokers hanging out there. You see a lot of type A behavior in that demographic.

Well I know Amanda wasn't there today and so I will give it another chance she has always treated me good she even sold me my bings favorite for the same price as the internet on father's day. I am gonna try and make more frequent trips to Indian river tobacco traders and pauls pipe shop. I feel better spending at a b&m even when the cost is more and selection is limited if the atmosphere is good and the people are friendly and welcoming.

2013 Stonehaven in a really nice prince that is confounding. The stampings are clear, but they are so tiny...it has a Skeleton key in the stamp, but using that as a search term leaves me with no solution...words are too small with the magnifying glass I have. Ordered a jewelers loupe...needed one anyway for silver hallmarks. It has high ratings, but I will chime in if it does the trick. www.amazon.com/dp/B078N34WZR?

I have a 10x and a 20x from when I worked in printing and the 20x probably hasn't been used 10 times in 50 years.

I suppose you are correct...prince and apple are close cousins. I'm just indulging our intermittent long-running joke about what's a prince and what's an apple.
That's a prince. Or a Dutch turnip.

There can be a fine line between the two!
