I was thinking about a Chacom Reverse Calabash pipe. Are they good smokers? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't own one, but reverse calabashes seem to be a pretty popular design.

I don't have a reverse calabash. I like the chunky shapes. And the concept makes sense, similar to a Pete system pipe. I wonder what they're like to clean.

I can’t speak to a Chacom version, but I bought this Viking reverse calabash on a whim about six? months ago. Truly outstanding smoker, lived up to every expectation. I don’t smoke it though. That’s only because I really prefer longer and or slimmer pipes. I couldn’t get comfortable with that big piece of wood right in my face. If that’s a non-issue for you, I would highly recommend one.

That's more or less my take on nosewarmers. I calls them eye-waterers.

I was thinking about a Chacom Reverse Calabash pipe. Are they good smokers? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Every Chacom I have to tried has been a good smoker. Same with every Calabash and reverse Calabash. So it sounds like a win-win to me. There's not a huge difference with a reverse Calabash, think 30% of a gourd Calabash, but it's still good. The ones I have don't get smoked much only because of the small bowls.

I have one of these Ali Pascia Curvy pipes. It's extremely stubby reverse Calabash. It's really a great smoker and they always sell out. I got mine from a member on the old forum. I think his name waa Eric and his avatar was the Jolly Green Giant. Big guy, super nice and a veterinarian. Wonder if anyone here knows him?

I keep watching for those Curvy pipes to come back in stock. That's a sharp one.

Mine is in the pipe cabinet with a couple of hundred other pipes and I can't find it right now. Mine looks better. 😁

I'm just excited people are talking about Al Pascia pipes. I occasionally post mine, but I've never heard anybody else mention them.
