Many of you know the situation we had two years ago(close to it) with my daughter Hope being in the hospital. She was in a coma and when she came out, aside from other health issues, she was told she would never be able to have any more children. Being a child lover, she adopted and then 8-9 months ago, by a miracle, she told me she was pregnant. Yesterday morning, she gave birth to a 7 1/2 pound, 19 inch tall baby boy who she named Jameson Scott. Jameson after his maternal great- grandfather and Scott after me, his grandfather. Hope and Jameson are perfectly happy and healthy.
I told her to make sure he learns to do three things:
1: learn to love
2: show respect when respect is deserved
3: learn to fight
They are in Hubert NC and I am hoping to make it down there soon to meet him.
I cannot for the life of me successfully post pics but if someone wants to PM me their number, i can text it and you can post it for the Patchers to see.
I know my recent posts haven’t been filled with joy with Brad dying but this is a joyful post that I wanted to share. My son has a nephew now and he is excited .

Such is life, Scott...I appreciate your posts, and with the scary situation with your daughter's fragile existence, the loss of your friend, and the welcoming of someone that will brighten the future I could not help but think of this:

If he learns this, it will be a little less dangerous hopefully It probably goes without saying, but situational awareness is key to avoiding a situation where you are forced into a fight, and I know that is already taught to those involved in the martial arts. Unfortunately, there are some among us where life has no value. Life behind bars has no downside for a dead ender. Be prepared to fight when you have to, De-escalation/ growing thick hide/ getting you and your loved ones from harms way without engaging a threat is the best initial response...robbed of them options, use deadly force. |

If he learns this, it will be a little less dangerous hopefully It probably goes without saying, but situational awareness is key to avoiding a situation where you are forced into a fight, and I know that is already taught to those involved in the martial arts. Unfortunately, there are some among us where life has no value. Life behind bars has no downside for a dead ender. Always walk away of you can, 100% of the time. I will say, that in my years of marital arts training, i’ve never used anything I’ve learned, except walk away, unless it was within a dojo. |
