Good Morning! It's 38° here with a clear, starry sky and bright moonlight from the October Hunter's Moon. This afternoon I have to make a pharmacy run and do some laundry. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Two Star Special smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

No smokies. Fighting a bad chest cold. Taking a COVID test later this morning. Every damned joint and muscle I have ever injured is screaming at me this morning. A pipe sounds horrible at the moment. This too shall pass….

I enjoyed a bowl of delicious fresh Bayou Morning Flake earlier and now I'm finishing up a bowl of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the MM Mark Twain cob before heading back to the house.

Good morning, I’m smoking Germain’s Royal Jersey Original Latakia mixture in a Dunhill billiard. I’ve had to smoke sparingly lately, I have a tooth that needs pulling and it doesn’t love smoke. I’m not too happy with the wait time on the local dental surgeons, but I have a first visit next week and we can get on with it.
That said, I am very happy with this tobacco. I scored a few tins of Germain’s when SP had them in stock a couple weeks back and this is the second tin I opened after King Charles mixture. With King Charles I felt like I could get a similar mixture with something like Squadron Leader, but this is in a different league. Very complex smoke, cool, dry, some vanilla and apple?, a nice base of Latakia that supports it all. I could see this being a regular smoke if it was more readily available. Oh well, I’ll just enjoy this bowl and keep coating the tooth with clove oil. Enjoy your day all.

Happy Friday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee down in the cave. It's 55 and sunny here. Heading out to the garden to enjoy the nice weather.

Good Afternoon! It's a beautiful 60° with a clear sky and bright sunshine out here on the deck. I just cleaned a few pipes and smoking a bowl of fresh Wessex Brown VA Flake in the MM Washington 5th Avenue while listening to streaming light jazz vocal music.

Had a rough work night. Ended up working in the office from 8-1:30pm yesterday, working from 9:45pm-4am this morning on a maintenance window remote (after-hours upgrades) and then back up at 7:30am til nearly 10am trying to resolve some outage issues. Slept a few hours and then went for a walk in the park. Grabbing some dinner now and hoping to get back and have a mellow smoke or two. Maybe some Greywoodie Show Mid-Bird to start in a pipe to be determined. I miss those 36 hour days in the data center. NOT!

Good Afternoon Again! It's 66° and still just beautiful out here on the deck. I'm smoking more fresh Bayou Morning Flake in the MM Washington 5th Avenue cob while listening to streaming soft music. There's a glass of cold water and my book on the side. Good time to read.

Safe to say that the previous owner of this pipe was a Lakelands man.

Safe to say that the previous owner of this pipe was a Lakelands man. Yeah, it was very floral and soapy. Unfortunate. Gonna have to figure out what to do about it, if anything.

Had a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob after dinner. I'm about halfway through a a bowl of Scottish Cake in a self-made, rusticated, slightly bent billiard.

2016 C&D Crooked Lane for the first smoke of my previously unsmoked Sven Knudsen blasted Billiard. Is the stem slightly flared horizontally as it approaches the button, or is that just a trick of the light/angle?

Is the stem slightly flared horizontally as it approaches the button, or is that just a trick of the light/angle? Good eye. Yes, it does. After the saddle, it slightly tapers in and then slightly flares back out. The button is slightly wider than the body of the stem before the saddle step.

Good Saturday Morning! It's 36° with a clear sky here at dawn. I slept in after staying up late to watch the Guardians lose another game. This afternoon I have to make another supermarket run for a few things. Getting the smoking day going with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall smooth quarter-bent Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a great weekend everybody!
