As a hobby, my wife flips stuff at a consignment shop, and she does a pretty good job at it, so she is there regularly. The other day she said that it was ridiculous that my pipes are upstairs and not in a proper display, so she wanted to buy me this cabinet that had been marked down 50%. She heard me talking as we went through antique stores, and I always talk about repurposing cabinets for the hobby, there are a lot of options out there. This is a Paula Deen Buffet/China cabinet, and it pretty well fits the bill...the serving utensil notches in the lined drawers work well for the pipe stems, and the shallow drawers are perfect in conserving space for the other drawers, ( the top 4 drawers are the shallow ones.) At some point, I want to get all of my ebonite stemmed pipes buffed, obsidian oiled, and into the drawers, move some of the acrylic stems onto the racks. I am probably going to thin the herd and sell some of the pipes to fund buying some artisan pipes, or really nice factory pipes. I tried to get one tin of each tobacco in different drawers, even though there is a decent representation of great blends, no way to get that done...not even close. Not bragging just an admission of an affliction...I am done buying tobacco. No 8oz. tins, no jars, and no C&D blends in the new cabinet...I got rid of a ratty old cabinet that was packed to the gills, now I need to buy a rack and totes for the overflow.... pardon the messiness of them pictures, I turned the grandkids normally clean bedroom into a disaster zone, the old remaining buffet cabinet has some of the jars that I am working through, but I need to up my consumption. Pardon the fuzzy pictures.

Very nice cabinet, back when I had a collection I would have loved to have that instead of dusting the bloody things all the time.
Oh! and hang on to that woman, I think ya got a winner!

Wow, that is nice! I have China case envy. Now how to shoehorn something like that amongst the bookcases and safe in my study?
