Now smoking Sam Gawith Cabbie’s Mixture in a smooth straight pre-transition Barling 313 T.V.F. EXEXEL pot with a black ebonite stem. Thought I'd break in the new-to-me Barling wth a VaPer. Picked up a paneled 1970s Jeantet (made by Chacom), a new meer especially made for me, a late 1970 Charatan "Special" pot, and a 1980's Big Ben pot. Yep, saw a pic of you and that Barling elsewhere Beautiful pipe! One of my favorite shapes (wonder why I don't have more in my collection.)

Now smoking Year 1937 Smith’s Glasgow’s Smoking Mixture in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a silver band and a black vulcanite stem. Still smokeable? Trust we can look forward to a review soon? Very smokable. The man who gave me the generous sample opened the cutter tin, let me have the first bowl, and then gave me about half an ounce or so. My last smoke of the day is Old Companion in a smooth 1998 Parker 489 three quarter bend Billiard and a black vulcanite stem.

59F and cloudy before sunrise. Back in the 80s today. First smoke is Hearth and Home Louisiana Red in a smooth pre-1964 Peterson 312 System Standard, drinking hot black tea with lemon and listening to NPR in the background. A good walk to begin the day, hot shower, shave and errands to run later.

2017 McClelland Christmas Cheer in an MM Mark Twain, drinking ice tea with lemon and watching News Hour on PBS. Minutes away from having a conversation with my neighbor about buying his place, 4.13 acres. Could possibly be one of the most significant conversations in my life.

Relaxing after a wonderful spaghetti and meatballs dinner with a bowl of C&D Old Joe Krantz Red Label in a medium bend smooth paneled 2017 Turkish Meerschaum with a gold and black swirl acrylic stem. My friend Ismail from Turkish Meerschaums made this especially as a gift for me. A very cool thing to do.
