New to Me Rad Davis Rhodesian

That pipe is a beaut, you cannot go wrong with a Rad Davis.


I sent Marty and email on Saturday about a set of pipes...no answer back Sunday morning, so I sent another email with a copy sent to my "Sent" box.
I chose not to call him because in his weekend post he said his wife's dizzy spells kept him from going to the Chicago pipe show, and he preferred people contact him by email.
Since I still hadn't heard back late Sunday, I figured that he took weekends off or his wife's health issues were taking up his time.
Last night, I checked and what I was interested in, was "sold", so I called him and told him when I had sent both emails, he said he never saw them in his inbox, and he has no record of getting the emails ..... Some other buyer contacted him Sunday afternoon and he made the sale. He told me that based on my timeline, it would have been mine.
I have never had anyone say that they don't get my emails, and everyone I have sent from Cox cable in the last ten years has received responses when warranted.

I know that Marty is a stand up guy and he has a solid reputation, but the moral of the story is...if you want something from him I recommend sending an email, call, and if you have a fax machine do that too. I guess it wasn't meant to be in my case...

That was a heck of a deal on that Rad Davis, when I saw it, I was suprised to see that it was so affordable, and in such great shape...it far outshines several other offerings that are going for a heck of a lot more money...that was a nice score.
