Have you guys ever seen one like this? I have a Gigi with similar carving, and have seen Peterson Meerschaum pipes carved like this, but not a briar.

That is from the Barney Rubble line. They had good success with the Sherlock Holmes line so they tried another. The Barney Rubble line was short lived. Looks like you got one in fine shape and condition. Wishing you many happy smokes.
