Some of you might have seen my crazy Falcons over at TPC but today some stems arrived from Estonia and I could make my perfect match at last! Beside a few more standard Falcons that I smoke I collect the more fancy ones. The Meers were difficult to shoot but here goes... Goldplated stem with Meerschaum bowl from Turkey Silver-only Shillelagh with Meerschaum bowl from Turkey. I still need to find the same stem with a white bit... Black anodized stem with regular Hunter bowl from Falcon. I might smoke this one.....

Estonia is a country that I hear very little about here in Carolina.I had to Google it to learn more about it.It seems to be a well developed, prosperous place..Back years ago I smoked Falcons at work. They were cheap and light weight. If I damaged one it was easy to replace. They were pretty plain though in those days. Not nearly as pretty as yours.

Of course you still get the normal Falcons and much easier than my "exotics". The Falcons that I smoke are of the standard variant too and I even smoke two ALCOs. But the hunt for non-standard stems and custom bowls and the mix and match is great fun!
P.S.: The Estonian seller has very good prices and shipping was quick too!

Hahaha John! I hope to find some more exotic combinations. I am even thinking about my own stem colorations. Watch out for more!

its 3 bucks for a ebook on amazon.

I´ve got to get familiar with the app for Mac to read that book. It has got some bad reviews but I hope to read the book soon. You may find the green stem if you´re lucky and the green bowl if you´re VERY lucky. So yes, you may be envious indeed!

Update: I have got the app and the book now! The app has been updated and hopefully it works now as smooth as the pipes.

You can sometimes get real bargains in the old Eastern Block. Nice, Frank!

Forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere, but in my current edition of The Pipe Club Of London's newsletter, an article spoke of a source for replacement bowls for Falcons, Kirstens, etc... eliesfreehandpipes.com/

Those look very nice. Leather wrapped Falcon bowls, unsmoked, in a case that looks like it's made by Rolls Royce. Great find.

Pretty awesome Frank! A seven day set with a single shank!...a great travelling option. As per our previous conversation, I will take that pipe set for $50.00...a win-win for both of us!
