Why the hell would fake tobacco make it more likely that young kids will smoke it?! Just because it's cheap? Any "kid" who wants to buy tobacco will buy it regardless of the price. It's not exactly something you take up on a whim. Darn media! Still, the thought of huffing asbestos, mold and droppings (both mouse and human) is pretty grim. I agree the simpler packaging is going to make it easier to sell fake tobacco.

One guy had a pipe club meeting and in an attempt to bring people into the hobby ran an announcement on Craigslist? That there would be a free tin of tobacco for new attendees. Some guys showed up... "We can't stay, but we would like to get our free tobacco."
I suggested that if the club held the same event, repurpose old tins to have on hand filled with leftover cigar leaf scavenged from the ashtrays and lovingly rubbed out. _______ special club blend.
