I just found this forum and look forward to participating. Some history:
I started smoking a pipe as a teenager (I'm middle aged now) but just got serious about the hobby about ten years ago. My pipe smoking habit is to smoke Prince Albert or Carter Hall in a cob all day and smoke something better (right now it's After Hours Flake) out of a briar or meerschaum in the evening. Some favorite tobaccos include Kendal Kentucky and Dunhill Flake.

How many bowls a day do you reckon that you smoke?
Former cigarette smoker?
It sounds like you have developed a sensible approach to smoking...otc blends that satisfy during the day and treating yourself at night.

Many years ago I smoked cigarettes, but now I find them disgusting. |

I think Edwards has typical brick and mortar pricing. I don't begrudge them that, as they have overhead to cover. They are not as cheap as online sites, but I value a local shop where I can go for my tobacco. You can smell, handle and sample the tobacco. Bryan and Tom encourage that. They will open a tin if you want to try something. The knowledge they have is also valuable to me. The shop has a great ambience and two excellent smoking lounges. I enjoy meeting other pipe smokers there. Restaurants are nearby as is a brew pub. In short, I consider us lucky to have a great shop like Edwards here in the Denver area. I buy something every time I go there. I would be truly saddened if they ever closed their doors.

Welcome!! I after 34 years of pipe smoking discovered GOOD cobs and kick myself each time I smoke my only one for not finding these sooner!
