Hey Ladies and Gents, I mentioned in another thread that I met a gentleman who does fine restoration of estate pipes. He was very friendly and gave me a lot of his time at a venue where he had other items to sell that were of a much higher value. I traded pipes I just wasn't fond of, for several that he had restored. All the estate pipes he had for sale were restored to virtually new condition. I noticed on his website that he learned some of his craft from Tim West. Justin confirmed that it would be ok for me to post his contact information here.

Dave, his prices are listed on his site and are very reasonable. I think for basic repairs he certainly deserves consideration based on what I see. Thanks for cluing us in, Don. I've book marked his site.

He told me about a pipe that a guy had tried to redrill an airway on to enlarge it. The guy had his bit missaligned and made a hole at the junction of the base and shank. Tony told me how he was able to repair that with a non toxic epoxy and briar dust to the point where it looked and smoked like a new pipe. I think he is pretty capable. Those four pipes I got from him were all $35 or $45. They would go for more online. Especially on eBay.
