So, because I started smoking in 2016 I've really wanted a 2016 POY. I've been looking and looking but there were none that were economical and since they are limited in number it makes it really hard. I started smoking in October, so of course all the POYs were already gone for the year. However, a couple months ago I found a Dagner Witch Warden on ebay which would have been perfect because it was a 2016, and that was stamped on the pipe, and it was Halloween themed for October. Sadly, it sold before I could get the money to buy it 
I would still love to have one of those pipes, so if any of you come across an estate pipe or one at a pipe show please contact me so we can work something out.
Also a couple months ago i was introduced to Corn Cob Nation (CCN) on Facebook and I joined just as they were doing their Cob of the Year pipe and was able to get one of those. Seeing as my very first pipe, and several first pipes were cobs, I thought how fitting it would be to have a 2016 COY, but figured there were none out there. So, a few weeks ago a guy on that forum posted that he had started smoking cobs in 2016 and would really like a 2016 cob if anyone had a spare. Well, a guy did have one and was willing to sell it to him. I figured, what the heck, and also posted. Lo and behold, another guy was willing to part with his for some tobacco and a 2017 POY, and I happened to have a spare one of those, so I was able to acquire my first anniversary pipe.
The original stem for this pipe was a freehand, but the guy had used it on another pipe and instead sent me a RARE CLEAR stem. I didn't really want to smoke the rare stem, so I've put it away and I put a black danish stem on this as it seems to blend with the bowl much better (originally I put an amber stem on because I prefer those but it just didn't looke right)
