Best in the genre but that's just my humble opinion. Others may differ.

Thumbs up here. It's very vanilla, but it's one of the best done in my opinion. Good natural tobacco flavor underneath and a clean, not artificial vanilla flavoring.
Worth trying a tin.

Hey guys so just curious, I just realized that I ordered macbaren vanilla instead of macbaren vanilla cream. What's the thought on the non cream vanilla flake?

I've only tried the Vanilla Cream in tinned flake and loose cut forms so I can't make that comparison. Respective profiles on Pipes and Cigars sound similar; however, I'm not sure if they are the same or not? I can say the Mac Baren Vanilla listed on P&C is loose bulk of which I'd be suspect for fear of over drying, something which could possibly make it lose its mojo.

I never really noticed that there is Vanilla and Vanilla Cream! The vanilla I've had and it's pretty good. As far as aro's go, I think in general MacB knows their stuff.

I've only tried the ready rubbed., but enjoyed it so much I would place it in my top 2 vamilla aros. It is hard to distinguish between the two as they are very different. The other is sutliff's mountain. Pass. It is a wetter black cavendish blend with a heavy vanilla custard topping that cloaks the tobacco good ess, but the topping is good enough to my tastes. A very typical American aromatic; whereas the Mac baren product is more representative of a European aro. Very golden Virginia forward and a light topping to compliment the tobacco taste.
