Not sure what to call the pipe shape except freehand? Sometimes skilled makers just go with the flow of the grain and live with the final product. That Cumberland stem is definitely cool and the pipe looks like a winner. Hate to use the term "flake pipe" but...
Hearth and Home Black House is good stuff. Nice and smokey, won't overpower but the room note may not be to the liking of non-aficionado senior Patch members such as yourself. JMHO but I'd prefer Black House in a larger bowled pipe than this one.
Great score Maggie. Enjoy.

thanks! I presume the Black House was sent because there is dark-fired Kentucky in the blend, but not sure if I will notice it with the latakia....

I'd call that pipe a "saucer". Scottie makes a very fine pipe.Black House is one of Russ' finest blends. Enjoy both.

If she loads it up with Picayune, she might be transported to a new dimension, in space and time...next stop.
