Waking up with Mac Baren latakia blend in a savinelli nonpareil. I don't know why they discontinued this blend. I dig it.

Treating myself to a bowl of decade-old FVF in the Falcon. My plan is to ration this blend out, we'll see how that goes.

A huge bowl of bone dry plumed 2014 Germain's Balkan Sobranie in a no name London made bent billiard. Still tastes like sour orientals of unharmonious imbalance with barely a dash of Latakia and very light. I guess this just goes to show a blend that's terrible fresh is also terrible aged. It is however much better than it was from a fresh tin.

Old Shenandoah Barrel 76 in the AL Pascia Curly. You would like to think that a pipe of this design wouldn't gurgle, but it does. I will check the shank when it dries.

Enjoying Symphony in a Stanwell bulldog, marveling over the fact that it's been almost five hours since it last rained!
There's a small community of a couple of hundred homes on an island just off the city; recently a resident posted pictures of big carp swimming over one of the baseball diamonds! We could do with a bit of a dry spell.

It's a rainy and cool day, so keeping my pipe lit is a hassle. 71 and 90% humidity means it not uncomfortable, but damp enough to make you have to relight often. I have stuffed some of Low Country's moist Strawberry into a Blakemar Briars full bent apple. They call it a Quantock, black rusticated. It smokes and hangs quite well.
