This turned a rather chilly, post rain shower, sunrise into the perfect way to have an early cup of coffee!
This is some great tobacco here, it broke apart and packed nicely in my pipe and after the right amount of poking at it in the bowl ( my lack of experience with crumble cake showed up here) I had a great early morning smoke! The taste is rich, deep and leaves a pleasant mouth feel not unlike what one gets from sipping a "GOOD" cup of coffee. Each puff starts with a smokehouse type taste that somehow manages to get sweet at the end. Credit the blender for finding the perfect way to transition between smokey and sweet in every puff! The smoke reminded me of a freshly opened tin of Blue Diamond "Smoke House" Almonds and never became rank even at the bottom of the bowl. This is a four star blend for me!

I tried to like Latakia. Never did acquire a taste for it though.

The best time for Lat Blends, IMHO, is during cooler weather. Glad you had a good one!

Sammy, Thanks so much! I loved it and yes Cobguy a lat blend was perfect this morning!! A cool mid 40's right before the sun came up and a steaming cup of coffee...Bengal slices in a Jensen pipe and the rest was magic!

Thanks for the review Mike, very informative. Glad this one worked for you. Thanks Mark, I just say what I like about a blend...I am way out of my league explaining what each tobacco type brings to the blend so I leave that to the elder statesmen here on the forum.I just hope others find my thoughts about a blend useful and make them want to try it as well!

The last time I tried was a pre-release tasting. I liked it then so when I can I guess I should pick up a tin or two. Even though I'm not much of a lat smoker. He'll I have a couple of tins of Mac B lat flake with some age on them.
