I heard the same rumor, but nothing that I can verify.
I suspect we will find out more for sure at the show.

I heard on the news the other day that the Dupage airport is looking at moving forward with having PR condemned to prevent the new ownership group from converting the property to a large(I assume Del Web style) retirement community. They want the land clear for future expansion.

Hey Guys, You have heard wrong about this being the last show at Pheasant Run. We have a contract with the resort through 2017. This year the show SOLD OUT in record time (for exhibitor tables), and we are trying to add even MORE tables to the 304 that already exist. So I'm not exactly sure how this rumor started, but it is a FALSE RUMOR. Hope to see many of you at our show in April!!!

Fonz, thanks for clearing that up. The Pheasant is a good venue, I would have hated to see that change.
Oh, and Welcome to the forum!

Hi Sparks, Your welcome sir!! The CPCC family is looking forward to seeing all of our patrons in April. And about the Dupage airport authority, it would take a long time for the FAA/airport authority to get the legal actions through the courts.

I hate to sound desperate, but I'm particularly interested in the slow smoker contest on Sunday and was wondering if anyone in Chicago would be driving out there and would be willing to allow me to hitch a ride? I'd be happy to split the cost of fuel with you.

Hoping to see old freinds and make new ones at the Chicago Show. If all goes well I will be there again this year. I may buy a pipe or two, and some

I'd be happy to split the cost of fuel with you. Take the Metra Pink line to either the West Chicago or Geneva stations. PR is not that far away. I picked up a pipe board guy who was a student in town and didn't have a car for 3 years before he moved on. It's like a 10/15 min in town car ride. I wish I could say I will get you but right now I don't know if I will be at the show this year. Even if I can't do it I can't imagine the cab fare would be that much or you could bring a bike on the train.

Do some of the Italian pipe brands have tables, like Radice, Cavicchi, or Castello?

Yo 0s
Yes, quite a few makers display at tables, especially artisans. Of the Italians, Becker jumps to mind. This year, with Richmond CORPS not going on, Alberto Bonifiglio had a table. There are lots of Radices, Cavicchis and Castellos among the vendors, and I dimly recall a table of Castellos.
