I have been searching for my birth year Dunhill for quite some time. For whatever reasons 1952 seems to be a fairly rare year. I was contacted by a pipe guy who had one and offered it to me for a reasonable price. I am going to send it out for a tune-up and polish but I'm very pleased with it.

Congrats, man. I have a 1952 ODA Apple and it's a great smoker. I know yours will be, too.

Very nice, I have a larger one and is a very good smoker, the Tanshells hold my interest more than the Shells, Enjoy.

...very nice John...I'm still searching for a 1951 but the few I've seen, nothing strikes home yet...I had a gp. 4 '51 shell billiard but it was stolen when I was in college...

Congratulations! 1952 is my birth year as well and have also noticed that Dunhills for that year seem to be few and far between and the few I've seen haven't been anything I'd want. I've pretty much given up on the idea. Of course, if I ever found a 1952 Barling in good shape, that would be another matter.

Mike, given it's great condition it is probably a fair price. Also, you would need to ask if that price includes the VAT. VAT in Europe ranges from 17-20%. We here are not subject to that so factor that in the price.
