I bought a London Castle pipe from Iwan Ries at the Chicago Pipe Show.(For $35.) I looked up the brand on Pipedia and found this.
London Castle:1919 - 1999. Founded in 1919, it was originally known as Davies & Huybrecht. One of the smallest and most obscure of the older British pipe makers. Their specialty was the making of pipes with flawless wood in traditional British shapes from Algerian briar. Their pipes were available only from Smith's Snuff Shop in London. Each pipe was offered without the stem and the customer then specified the stem he wanted.
In the late 1990's the last Mr. Huybrecht retired and passed away a few years later. He left over a 100 bowls. Many were unstained and without stems. In June of 2006 we located the old bowls and are now having them stained and stemmed. The mouthpieces are hand cut Vulcanite and every pipe is stamped "London Castle, G. Huybrecht".
I don't know weather my pipe was made before 1990 or was one of the 2006 batch. Either way, it's a nice large rustic bent billiard.

I'm glad you had some saved up for your car. I hate it when things eat into savings... Especially in my case when I don't have many savings.

You can’t save the equivalent of one dollar a day??? That’s $365.00 dollars saved every year and in ten years you’ll have $3,650. Can you just imagine if you put just $5.00 aside in a jar everyday for five years....you do the math then make a good investment 👌 |

 Supper was a pound of hamburger browned, with an onion chopped, half a bell pepper(should have used the whole thing). I chopped up half a large zucchini. I put 6 cup of water in the pot then put a packet of brown gravy mix in the pot. I boiled the whole thing until the noodles were done. Good Stuff!

I've found out the repairs to the Chrysler will be $451.51. There goes our savings, which I had saved for just such an emergency.
