I took last night's leftovers added celery, red bell pepper, can of whole corn, a can of peas, a can of petite diced tomatoes and some leftover cream of chicken with spinach. Letting it all simmer for hours. Should be good.

I'm big on celery, especially in soups. For something with little nutritional value it adds a lot of flavor

Grumpy likes to share how he feels in his posts and that is very endearing. I don't often comment here, but when this thread falls back to page 2, I miss it

I shouldn't have drank a large glass of tomato juice before supper. I only ate a little and I was full.
Fred the Red ahs taken to sleeping in a box on a box behind my chair. I told him"If it fits, it ships!" Wife didn't agree.

I've ordered 2 pipes and 3 pounds of tobacco, which should soon be on their way here. 1 pound of C&D Crooner, 1 pound of Low Country Natural Virginia and Oriental, and 1 pound of Low Country Peach. Had they had Hazelnut in stock I would have got it too. Pipe 1 is an Everyman (by Comoy) and the second is a Blakemar Briars Matador rustic bent bulldog (witch they call a Rhodesian). The Everyman... The Blakemar Briars Matador bulldog...

On the 2nd. I was making my order at Smokingpipes.com I was going to pull the trigger on a used Peterson pot, but by the time I'd chosen the tobaccos I wanted, someone else had got it. Lesson learned, get the pipe first!

Cooking some large pork chops on tomato/spaghetti sauce, with the usual spices, oregano, garlic and fresh ground black pepper. Pondering weather I should add some basil. Will serve 2 chops with sauce and cheese on top. Almost forgot the onions. Spotted half a small red bell pepper, added that too. Letting it simmer for a long time. I'll cook some noodles to use the excess sauce on, and whole corn and green beans as side veggies. I do most of the cooking because the wife is unable to stand very long.

I had opened the drawer on the bottom of the range to get a pot out to heat the corn and green beans. As I set the pot on the stove curious Fred crawled in to the drawer. I have it open waiting for him to become bored and come out. I think he just got out. Silly cat!

Whatever I'm doing Fred has to find out what it is. Filled the pitcher for coffee and Fred had to sniff it and take a drink. If I make wifie and I a sandwich, he begs for a little bite of cheese. Tiny dog watch me give Fred a piece of cheese, so I felt obligated to give her one too.

My package from Smokingpipes.com came this morning bringing a used pipe and three pounds of tobacco! The pipe is an Everyman (by Comoy in England. The tobacco is a pound of Low Country Peach (which I'm liking), a pound of Low Country Natural Virginia and Oriental, and a pound of C&D Crooner. Fred has claimed the box it all came in and is sleeping in it. Getting a new to me pipe and tobaccos makes for a good Wednesday!

I'm currently puffing some Low Country Peach and finding it to be very nice. It's sweet, peachy, mild and almost no bite, again very nice!

My morning meds made me feel kind of crappy. their finally wearing off. With my night meds, I take them just before bed, so if I feel bad, I sleep through it. I usually feel better if I don't take my meds. I can't get any that actually make me feel good. And the pain relief meds I get only work half assed, due to peeps getting hooked on opiates
Metformin has really messed up my bowels. I'm either too loose or bound up.
The good news is I have good smoke weed on hand.

Hey, Grump! You're not alone. I get peed off having to waste a cup of coffee just to swallow my meds. On metformin, too. Same with pain meds. I have a prescription sitting here because they can't call this in over the phone. I don't feel like putting it in the mail so it's massive amounts of Motrin. Opiates cause fewer side effects than any non-Opioid med. Anyway, you and I share some common tobacco loves, so it's nice that you come here and share smokes and critters.

Between Fred the Red and the phone, sleep was out of the question. Being annoyed first thing is not how I want to start my day. Fred sat on the control button to my CPAP machine, turning it off, which is enough to wake me. I think he thought he was hungry and wanted some wet cat food, as he has,(and had then the dry cat food).

The "new to me" pipe and the Low Country Peach tobacco smoked quite nicely, apart and together. The term "Estate Pipe" is a sales ploy to make "Used" pipes sound better. Unless someone died, it isn't an "Estate Pipe", which came from their estate.

I bought myself a new revolver, a Rock Island Armory M200 .38 Special revolver, with a 4" barrel. It is affordable and not plastic. It is nothing fancy, just reliable and pretty accurate. All the stars aligned to make it possible for me to get it, like it being on sale, $199.99 plus tax. Mainly it suits my needs. I have a .32" auto which is becoming hard to find ammo for.

I find that packages of meat with an odd number of pieces can be a bother if your cooking for two people. Cooking 3 pork chops and hope they are tender so they can easily be divided for two people. I'm slowly cooking them in some cream of chicken soup, with mixed veggies, canned new potatoes and mushrooms, with garlic and onion and fresh ground pepper for spices.
I found I had to increase the amount of time for the headlights to shut off because at 30 seconds I'd not got out of the car before they shut off. Increased it to 90 seconds. Still way too short for me to reach out front door.

Stomach is fully on empty! Waiting on wife to come home to serve supper. So I ate a cold hot dog to ease the pain. Being in a small town, with the wife out I grow concerned when I hear sirens and I just did. So I called her to see if everything was ok.
I'm slowly cooking some pork chops so they'll be very tender.
