Making chili for supper tonight. Adding a pound to the canned chili, an onion and maybe a bell pepper.

That sounds like a winner to me. In fact, if I had some I would make more sounds.

I feel quite fortunate to have been able to find my birth year Dunhill. It was affordable too! $249 shipping included.

I chose the revolver because it was on sale for $199.99, they don't throw the cases everywhere, and if I choose they are easier to reload. But I'd like the 1911 .45 too.

Guys at work pulled a joke on me a couple times. I started going out to my car at lunch and just cleaning my gun. I never got messed with after that. Surprised they didn't start calling me Mr. Busch

Fred Too let the dog out or in I have to pick him up most of the time. He has to see, touch and taste or smell everything. I'll be glad when he matures into a lap cat.

With the wisdom of age and hindsight I now realize there were many things I should have done. Should not have believed what my parents told me about my abilities, what I was mentally able to do and not do. It makes me wonder how thing could have been had I had more confidence in myself. What other choices would I have made. Too late now.

Just a little note, I suspect that the Rock Island Armory 1911 is most likely made in the Philippines as is the M200 .38 revolver. This is not a problem for me and the .38 because I'm not using it professionally, or in combat. It's a paper weight most of the time,(almost all of the time). While in Vietnam I carried an Army Surplus M1911-A1, made by Union Switch and Signal, which was more accurate than I could shoot and always worked. I have no doubt the Pock Island would be as reliable.

Anyone besides me think the whole "Daylight Savings Time" thing is a waste of effort? The employers can just set the working hours an hour earlier. I see many disadvantages to it, like kids walking to the bus stop or school in the dark. It's meaningless for businesses which run three shifts. If you work rotating shifts,or just the night or graveyard shift, you sleep during the daylight often. Thankfully my smart phone changes time automatically.

I think it was the year Nixon changed the dates. I was in HS and the whole home room was held with it being dark outside. When it finally became light it was like a second school day started and that I went to school twice before going home once. The only good part of it was that the school tough guys were more subdued during that hour and it was quiet
