I'm trying to work out my schedule to go. I believe johnlawitzke will be there. My first show was Chicago this year and it was a riot and heard this show is a good one as well.

Chicago and Columbus are my two regular shows. I live in a good location as my drive time is close to being equal to both shows. For the Columbus show, I arrive Friday afternoon and head home a Sunday morning. Many folks head home Saturday night. That just makes for a less crowded smoking smoking patio on Saturday night. For Columbus first timers, I always recommend bringing a few extra dollars to buy raffle tickets. There is a large raffle with drawings ever hour to support the show. Lots of really nice pipes are usually donated to the raffle.

sounds great! hubby is kind of interested in trying his hand at pipe making, i figure it would be a good place for him to talk to people and get info.

The NASPC puts out a great magazine also, and some merchants give some discounts that easily recoup the price of the publication and membership... if memory serves me correct, club members get a 20% discount from Smokingpipes, not sure what the others offer.

www.naspc.org/shops.htmThe discount at SP is 10% and is only good on new pipes.

To get the discount, you have to send them a copy of your membership card to put on file. Then you put a comment in the comments field of your order and they'll manually adjust your total after you checkout.
