So I have a question for you restorers. I have a pipe that has some marks on the mouth piece. Is there anything I can paint on it to cover them up?

I have a friend who heats a butter knife over the stove then wraps a towel around it and applies it to the indentations on the stem to make them rise. Depending on how deep the dents are you have several options.

Teeth marks can sometimes be completely removed from Vulcanite stems with a cheap heat gun, 0000 grade steel wool, H2O and Magic Eraser as a polishing finisher - No chemicals required. Acrylic stems, not so much in my experience. They have to be rebuilt.
