I hesitated to make this post because of fear that it would turn political..It's not about a party, any particular candidate or who wins or looses.Actually I'm a registered Independent. For some strange reason I really like watching election returns.I guess it's just different to me than the usual hum drum boring TV programs.

To me, a known outcome is more boring than watching a show that at least throws in an unexpected twist or two.

Every time I watch the news of late, when they are discussing they primaries, I get the feeling that the joke is on me and somebody is going to interrupt the program with a big ta-da! I shudder at the possibility that these are the best our country has to offer. I don't like any of the candidates, from either party....we are being offered a choice between old-school crony politicians, people who want to bring the whole system down and a circus clown! There isn't a true Statesman in the whole bunch.

Puff, I'm perfectly OK with threads like these if they stick to the discussion and don't turn into a shitstorm of political argument. I think we can all manage to keep things civil and friendly.

Low drama and high comedy. You just can't make this stuff up.

I'll be voting as well, I always do, I'll just have to decide which one I dislike less.

My intelligence (what little there is) can take just so much insulting. I can't see me voting for Barnum, Bailey or any of these clowns.

I shudder at the possibility that these are the best our country has to offer. Democracy is advertising. Make an image for people, and if they like it, they vote for you. This attracts the kind of people who sold snake oil 100 years ago.

I really do need new glasses. I thought the heading said erection returns. That might explain why so many people have read it
