Been toying with an idea of what I want to smoke. So I came up with this. 50% Cube Cut Burley 38% Medium Virginia 12% Perique
This should be a good starting place for me.

Sounds like a pleasant blend. I have done something similar, but used a burley based codger blend rather than the cube cut.

Looks like a good mix to me, John! Did you ever grab some of that PS Cube Cut? If so, a sprinkling of blending Perique mixed in with that works really well.

PS Cube is one of my faves. Will have to get some Perique and try that.

Creating your own blend can be rewarding. I have two which are made for me by The Country Squire in Jackson, MS - Senior Chief and Lighthouse Keeper. Senior Chief contains: Yellow Virginias, Latakia, Black Cavendish, Nutty/Maple Burley and Perique. Lighthouse Keeper is a lighter/milder variation that is a good summer smoke.

Well got it mixed up. Smoked a bowl after the mixing was done. My palette isn't the greatest, what I can say it had a nice tin (mixing bowl) note. The flavor was between mild to medium. The Burley and Virginia seemed to work together. Didn't taste the Perique. Now I have to wait for a few weeks so the mix can mature.
