Jim invited me over after I got banned at one of the other forums for having too many accounts, as the sign in process sent me 14 different codes along the way. I've been on many of the forums since 2010 when I started back up after taking 33 years off. I quit smoking my pipes 3 years ago after a life changing illness, but started back up this month. Penzance tasted soooo good after 3 long years. I hope to add a little and learn a lot. I suffer from ineffective thing and poor judgement now, so take that into consideration when reading my posts.

Yo pen
Welcome to this great bunch of folks. I have you beat in the layoff department: I started piping (pipestering?) in the '60s and went to cigars for 43 years. When I discovered pipe smoking forums several years ago and joined a couple of pipe clubs, I found out in a hurry all the things I was doing wrong the first time around. Now my cigars are languishing (ageing) and I have gotten into pipes and blends with a vengeance, so as to make up for lost time.

We have two things in common Marty. I was also invited by Jim (indirectly through p120d16y).
Also, I love big (excellent sounding speakers). I own a pair of Polk Audio SDA 2.3TL's which I have very heavily modified by adding some tweeter/driver/woofer rings, replaced all capacitors and resistors with Clarity Cap SA capacitors and Duelund Cast resistors and new crossover boards, I have placed Black Hole 5 sound material in the rear of the speakers, replaced all tweeters with RD0-198 tweeters, replaced all the binding posts with Cardas CCRR posts, and replaced the wood caps with some beautiful African Bubinga wood caps.
I love high fidelity audio, and it sounds like you do too.
Glad to have you on the forum.

Been into audio since high school. And building speakers. These are the last big ones (8ft. Tall) that I built: My 8 ft. Long subwoofer with (4) 18" Stereo Integrity drivers in it. both got sold off in the big downsizing
