No, literally... Cleaning the house today and was sliding my table across the living room. Little bugger jumped right out of the ashtray and BLAMO! Snapped right in half. It was my Windjammer Bamboo Dublin... cracked right at the shank/bamboo junction. My heart dropped and my eyes teared up a little. Looks like I have a project when I make it back to Buffalo. Will be spending some time in my buddy's shop.

Not good. If the pipe isn't sleeved with a metal tube, you could retro fit it when you do the repair.

Bummer, I know how you feel.
I had to learn the hard way that meerschaum are best for smoking at home, preferably over a carpeted floor. But I also recently dropped an expensive flawless briar with great grain over concrete... slight chip on the edge of the bowl.😡

That is no fun. Knock on wood, the worst I've done was drop a rock cob that was fitted with a plastic MM Danish stem and snapped the stem. I have put some minor scratches in some very old pipes. Always makes me mad about it for days.

Sounds like a great excuse for buying another new pipe to me.

Well Justin it could have been one of your Scotties. Agree. That would have been terrible. But a Windjammer.....ah, Justin, just make yourself another one

When I retire, that heated rubber would remind me of the road.

There is that, and n the days of my yute, I was on a chip seal crew and we laid chip seal binders modified with ground tire rubber..... Ahhh, the smell of hott rubber in the morning.
