For quite a while some strange pipes, apparently from new old stocks, show up on the German Ebay and a few days ago I couldn´t resist. This Lindbergh Spiralo was mine for the princely sum of 5.00 Eurodollars! Of course the Lindbergh is one of those who wanted to jump on the FALCON bandwagon. For some strange reason even the original packing isn´t sure what the name of this pipe is: It states "Lindbergh Spiralo", "Kayos Spiralo" and "Lindbergh Metallique". Well, might just be the French giving a heck about it...
Of course it is quite similar to the great role model, the FALCON and has a fixed mouthpiece on an aluminum stem with lots of cooling fins. The four-start bruyere bowl (kind of bulldoggish) will fit the cheaper FALCONS brand "ALCO". The main difference between tho most sold pipe in the world and this French knock-off is the little plastic labyrinth under the bowl instead of the "humidome". Well, try to clean that after a few smokes... The overall length is just slightly under the length of a FALCON, the bowl has a gasket and even the color of the anodized stem is the same purplish brown of the FALCON.
