That last bowl lasted almost long enough to post about it. I now have some of my own latakia blend in my birth year Dunhill Shell Briar straight pot.(1949) The old Dunghill and my latakia are smoking great.
I smoked a couple other pipefulls today, first was some C&D Crooner left over from last night. In a Al Pascia Curvy canary yellow.

Enjoying some 2007 Germain's Brown Flake in a brandy glass shaped Brebbia Avanti. The tobacco is smooth with the flavor of raisins and chocolate, a very fine smoke. The Brebbia is one of my favorite pipes, and quite the eBay bargain at $2.

Been busy getting projects done around the house. Both boys' rooms are done now, and the game room is a little tidier. Relaxing with some Carolina Christmas (2008) in the Peterson Dracula. Coffee on the side while watching the Rockies/nationals game. Hope everyone is having a nice, enjoyable weekend.

Now smoking D&R Don Giovanni Sigaretta in a medium bend smooth paneled 2017 Turkish Meerschaum with a gold and black swirl acrylic stem. Jim, You smoke a lot of D&R, and my guess is it isn't because of price. The price is great, but I am not sure from the descriptions what I am getting. It's fairly obvious I like aros, though I smoke English as well. Can you give me a few hints of what they have to try? I can search all reviews, but I stand as good of a chance of missing something as seeing it. Also, is this stuff cut for cigs or something?

Decided on the Sweet Cask in the MM Freehand since the Chatham Manor is in the basement. I have the lazy. Both of those are in my cart at P&C. I smoked primarily Prince Albert and Captain Black for years with the odd pouch of Carter Hall thrown in. I still have a soft spot for Prince Albert, but I prefer Chatham Manor to Carter Hall. another great one along those lines is Briar Fox, which I prefer over Chatham Manor and Prince Albert. I never got the chance to try Sugar Barrel, but Sweet Cask is a great smoke. the cut seems to throw some people off. just load it lighter than you think you need and tamp lighter than you think you need. it has a nice mellow flavor and aroma.

I smoked a lot of Captain Black when I ran out of B&M blends. Too pricey compared to other choices now.
