Has anyone tried the Walnut Match from P&C? Wondering if it is the same as the H&H MidTown Chestnut.

Walnut matches would be prohibitively expensive! 😆 I have tried the Walnut match and I didn't care for it at all. I never had the pleasure of having the original.

I want to try the Walnut match. Was hoping some one tried it and give an opinion. The same with the Mid Town Chestnut.

Yes, their Walnut match is excellent and extremely close to the original. JimInks could mention his thoughts as well. It's a very good mild smoke with a surprising amount of different leaf in there, including some Connecticut leaf and oriental. The Chestnut I believe is the same blend, again Jim will know for sure. It's been a few years and I believe it's Sutliff made and matched by them and the tub is the same blend.

The Walnut Match was created by Sutliff some time ago. When Middleton discontinued some of the their blends, P&C decided to have Russ Ouellette create their own versions. He created the names, packaging, and the final version they now sell. The two blends have similarities as expected, but Chestnut is a P&C product.
